Gotcha Day
Sunday was Gotcha Day, the craziest day ever and I almost lost my mind from all the chaos. In the morning we headed for the Beijing airport and got on our flight to Chongqing. There was a slight delay in the departure so when we finally arrived in Chongqing and were greeted by our new agency representative, Lisa and our tour guide, Joan, we were informed that once we arrive at the hotel we would have a very short time to prepare for meeting the babies.
We arrived at our hotel at 2:30 PM, at 3 PM we were supposed to gather at the meeting room to fill out some paperwork and at 4:30 we were going to meet our babies. Our suitcases were sent to the hotel together with our group's luggage and of course we have not received any of it until after 4 PM. I started getting very anxious since once the meeting was over we had very little time to change, prepare baby formula and wrap the gifts for the orphanage staff. We got everything done at the last minute with no time to spare and headed back to the meeting room to receive our Shayna.
The chaos did not end there. We were all in the same small room: the agency rep, the tour guide/interpreter, the orphanage staff, the babies and us. They called each couple one by one to pick up the babies and we were so emotional that we skipped the videotaping and barely took any pictures. We just wanted to be with our baby who was very quiet and curious throughout the entire time, while a few of the babies were wailing.
After giving the gifts to the orphanage staff and asking some questions through Joan, each couple left one by one with their baby, and we took a photo of the orphanage director and nanies, and headed for our room.

Isn't that just the most unbelievable feeling when your child is sleeping right in front of you after all that time of waiting? She is beautiful! I hope your bonding goes well and I hope you enjoy Chongqing!
