A day at the San Diego Zoo / Wild Animal Park

Within a few days we managed to go to both the Zoo and the Wild Animal Park. What a treat for us being the animal lovers that we are. We can't wait to take our child with us after we bring her home. No doubt that she will love animals just as much as we do.
We went to the SD Zoo on Thanksgiving Day and hung out there for a few ours. One of our favorite animals there are the Giant Pandas that are on a loan from China. They are so beautiful and are the main attraction at the Zoo.
At the Wild Animal Park we enjoyed our "Animal Encounter" with Majani the Cheetah who was accompanied by his trainers and his pal, Clifford the dog. Majani was occupied slurping his treat which was basically a huge bloodcicle (a frozen blood treat, yummy). What a beautiful animal. He was about 10 ft away from us with only a short gate separating us.
We could, however, get close to a 3-year old alligator who was plopped comfortably on his trainers arm waiting to be petted. We obviously did not let him down. What a cutie. It's wonderful that the Wild Animal Park offers animal encounters and we try not to miss them whenever we visit there.
