The long wait

We started our paperchase in April 2005 when the realization that we are actually going to be parents soon did not sink in yet. After completing our home study and getting all our documents ready, our agency sent the completed dossier to China in September 2006 and in October it was logged in by the CCAA.From that point on, all we had to do was wait. At that time the wait for a referral was 6-7 months. Several months later, it changed to 11-12 months so now we are looking at a winter trip to China to bring our daughter home. Obviously we have plenty to do while we wait so we started out by purchasing a beautiful new crib and some baby clothes in two different sizes (just in case). Of course we are pretty sure it will be a girl, but who knows.
